In recent years, growing concerns about elder care in the municipality of Anundsjö have come to light. This report highlights how the system has changed over time, with reduced resources, closed care facilities, and challenges related to the supply of skilled personnel.

Based on the experiences of current and former employees, local needs, and examples from other municipalities, the report provides a comprehensive overview of the current local situation. It also highlights possible ways to strengthen and ensure the long-term viability of effective elder care in Anundsjö.

At the same time, the issue is placed in a broader context, where elder care is linked to the area’s appeal, population growth, and future development.
